The fire service are currently recruiting on call firefighters for Peel, Port Erin, Kirk Michael, Douglas, and Castletown and Malew fire stations.
An on call firefighter commits to 120 hours availability each week which provides an effective service to protect the community of our Island.

The project to replace the 1938 current hardwood timber bridge, at Peel Harbour is now ready to start.
Construction will begin on Monday 8th October 2018, with an anticipated completion date of mid-March next year – a total of approximately 20 weeks.

Unfortunately there is no MHK surgery this month, but the commissioners will still hold one this Saturday 8 September at 11am.
I will be on annual leave from 8th to 22nd September. I’m cycling from Lands End to John O’Groats for 3 wonderful causes.
The aim is to raise money for a new Men in Sheds in Peel, for the Scouts hut in Peel and for Cancer Research.
Men in Sheds provides retired men with a regular opportunity to meet and and join with others in a workshop setting, for metalwork, woodwork and more. A social hub, Men In Sheds has been successfully set-up in Port Erin & Ramsey. More can be found at:
