Sewage Treatment Plant for Peel moves a big step closer
Plans for a regional sewage treatment plant for Peel have moved a significant step closer as Tynwald rejected the Environment & Infrastructure Policy & Review Committee’s recommendations for further reviews, which would have caused lengthy delays to the essential works.
There was support for treatment at the Raggart leachate within the proposed plant.
This is great news and means that the plans for Glenfaba House can proceed.

Peel Harbour Bridge Plans on View Tomorrow
There is a chance to see the plans for the essential bridge replacement on Peel Harbour tomorrow, 17th May, from 1pm until 4pm in Peel Town Hall.
While the new bridge is constructed, a temporary bridge will span the River Neb slightly downstream, with access gained through Peel marina boatyard. The single-lane carriageway will be under the operation of traffic lights for the duration of the scheme.
If planning is approved work will start in September.
